【Teluru team JiR Webike】ザクセンリンクで堅調な進歩を見せた長島選手　予選レポート

長島選手はザクセンリンクでのフリー走行、予選に続き、明日の決勝に向けて良いスタートができることを狙っています。この日は全クラスでクラッシュが相次ぐ一日となりましたが、長島選手もこのサーキットを覚えることに努めました。しかし、残念なことに長島選手も転倒した選手の一人となり、予選のセッションの終盤で転倒を喫しました。今節もまた非常に接戦となり、1秒の間にトップ23人のライダーがひしめき合っています。

「午前は非常によいフィーリングで昨日からのラップタイムもそこまでプッシュせずに楽に上げることができ、よい感じでマシンに乗れていると感じています。しかし、トラックのコンディションが変わり、タイヤのグリップにも取り組みましたが、午後のセッションではタイムを上げることができませんでした。ですが、コンスタントには乗れています。

グリップの問題はトラックの温度が上がっているせいだと思いますが、明日の決勝では同じようなコンディションでも対応できるようにするため解決方法を見つけなければなりません。自分ではどこでタイムを落としているのかわかっており、明日のウォームアップではそこを重点的にやります。予選セッションの終盤に12コーナーで転倒してしまいましたが、怪我はありませんでした。明日はよいスタートが非常に重要になると思いますので、できるだけ集団にくっついて行こうと思います」

The 22-year-old continued to learn the German circuit in a day of many crashes in the various classes. Sadly the Japanese rider was one of them, he fell towards the end of the qualifying session. It was another close session, with just one second covering the top 23 riders. Swiss rider Dominique Aegerter took pole position from Finn Mika Kallio and series leader Esteve Rabat.

“I had quite good feeling this morning, and improved the lap time easily from yesterday without pushing too much and I felt comfortable on the bike. Although due to the change of the track condition, I could not improve the lap time in this afternoon for the qualifying session as we were struggling with a lack of tyre grip, but I still am riding consistently. I guess the lack of grip comes from the track temperature rising, but we have to find the solution in case we might have similar condition tomorrow in the race. I know clearly where I'm losing time so that we'll try to work it all out at tomorrow’s warm-up. I crashed at the very end of the qualifying session at turn 12, but fortunately I didn't hurt myself. It will be very important to make a good start tomorrow, and stick to the group as long as possible.”
