[APRILIA]SBK Rd.6 Race2 best result of the season for De Angelis on Aprilia RSV4 RF

The second race of the Malaysian round of the Superbike saw Alex De Angelis get his best result of the season and Lorenzo Savadori cross the finish line in points.

The Superbike race got underway sunday in rain conditions, but not as intense as that which has delayed the start of the Supersport class before. In wet conditions, the Iodaracing Team riders that started from the third row (Lorenzo Savadori) and fifth line (Alex De Angelis), did their best not to lose sight of the riders in front, managing to stay in one group .

Lap by lap, Alex De Angelis has been particularly effective in managing the bike in the wet conditions, also fighting with Michael Van Der Mark and Tom Sykes, with his pace close to the front group. With the Dutch Honda rider, De Angelis battled until the last of the sixteen laps for the Superbike race, ending in seventh place.

A bit more difficult was the race of Lorenzo Salvadori, who has not found himself particularly at ease with his Aprilia RSV4RF the wet. The rider has nevertheless sought in every way to not get out of the points, ending his race in fourteenth place. At the end of the Malaysian round, the world championship standings see Lorenzo Savadori in tenth place with 66 points and Alex De Angelis in fourteenth place with 41 points.

The World Superbike will be back on track again May 27 for Round of the UK free practice at the iconic Donington Park.
