Four of six podium finishes up for grabs, two class wins and the lead in the privateer championship extended: this is the summary of what the BMW racers achieved at the penultimate round of the 2015 FIM CEV Superbike European Championship (CEV) in Jerez (ES). On the Andalusian track two races were held last weekend. On both occasions three BMW S 1000 RRs crossed the finish line in the top four, and in the privateer classification first and second places went to BMW riders.

Young Chilean Maximilian Scheib once more impressed with great performances on his boxmotos.com Easyrace SBK Team BMW S 1000 RR. On only his second race weekend with the team, Scheib qualified second on the grid, claimed one fastest race lap and finished second in both races. In addition, he celebrated a double win in the privateer classification (CEV AM). He was joined on the podium by two other BMW riders: Miguel Ángel Poyatos (ES), who was standing in for the injured Iván Silva (ES) on the Targobank Motorsport RR, and Adrián Bonastre (ES / also boxmotos.com Easyrace SBK Team). Poyatos finished the two races in third and fourth and was second in the privateer class on both occasions. For Bonastre, it was the other way round: he crossed the line in fourth and third respectively. In the overall rankings Bonastre improved to third with 125 points, only three points adrift of second place.

The overall leader in the privateer championship, Eeki Kuparinen (FI), was fifth in this class in both races on his Motomarket Racing BMW S 1000 RR (seventh and eighth overall). With these results Kuparinen extended his lead. He now heads into the season finale in Valencia (ES / 15th November), where one more race will be held, with an advantage of eight points over his closest rival.

In the 2015 BMW Motorrad Race Trophy rankings Kuparinen improved from 12th to ninth. Bonastre climbed to 16th and, with one more race to go, he still has the chance to reach the top 15.
